I love the sound of it and the lyrics are pretty awesome too but the only part I'm no too crazy about is when they start to quiet everything down and? have that weird verse but other than that it's pretty kick ass, in my opinion. Then again everyone has their own taste you know cause to be honest with you I'm not too crazy about "Detroit Rock City" yet it's one of there more well-known songs.

Paul is 60 and Gene is 62. Dynasty was the album they did that had that disco sound and in my opinion Sonic Boom? really wasn't a bad album, they had some pretty good songs on it. I miss Carr he really knew how to play and Singer is pretty good. You might disagree on me with this but I really liked Bruce's guitar playing.

i think dynasty in 79 led kiss into disco sound. gene has way too many other projects other than kiss to really write songs. paul is 53, and gene near 60,? i give it to them for staying around. worst album ever sonic boom, i wanted to cut up my kiss army card after that. tommy thayer is far from ace, but closer than bruce. and peter criss can barely hit a drum due to years of playing hard. eric carr was great, but rip eric. eric singer is good, and he also played on revenge.

At first, I was thinking "Not one of their best songs. This video doesn't really make sense, it doesn't match the lyrics. And did they raid Madonna's closet? What's up with the? grab-bag wardrobe?" ....Then Paul stepped into the shower and I stopped thinking.

I give a lot of? credit to Vinnie Vincent for the greatness of that album. Him and Gene were a better songwriting team that Paul and Gene in my opinion! I mean man! Gene's vocals on LIU are HEAVY! The production, the riffs, the choruses, all awesome! 1983 b***h! I do agree that Revenge was still cheesy. Apparently they were still following trends too, cause they had to send out a focus group or something to find out why their sales were declining in the late 80s..DUH. Pop songs, ballads, cheese

but having said all that... i will also agree that lick it up is the best non make up kiss cd. especially for gene. mainly him. that is beyond a doubt his best work with and without the makeup. gene was on f**king fire during lick it up. as? was the whole band. pauls songs were heavy as f**k. exciter and a million to one are for sure in my top 10 of all paul songs. along with ive had enough into the fire off of animalize.

revenge was weak. minus a couple songs it was weak. had the worst kiss ballad everrrr on it. everytime i look at you? worst kiss song ever. and take it off??? u couldnt get more cheesey. revenge is way overrated. i think people heard unholy and said wow. this is heavy. sadly they didnt listen to the rest of that weak ass cd. asylum? and animalize is helllluva lot heavier than revenge.

Only worthwile ...
Only worthwile songs are King of the Mountain? and Radar For? Love (cause of it's Zeppelin-esque feel.) Tears is an enjoyable song though, I'll admit that =D very catchy chorus And the production is thankfully heavier than most glam metal s**t coming out that time. The guitars are very upfront and the drums are heavy!

Dude it's great if you like the CD but basically, to me, what they put out after the monstrous LIU album, and before Revenge, is trend-following glam crap. The three singles are all cheesy 80s pop songs, so is I'm Alive. Ugh and Gene's songs...he outdid Paul on LIU, in both in songwriting and in vocals. But now he's writing filler s**t =( Not really worth my time listening to. I? think Asylum sold well only on the strenght of Paul's singles.

I wasn't putting down Kiss. I love the band x D I was? giving them a compliment as a response to all the people calling them stupid and gay because they're dressed..well, the way they are. I was saying that it takes true talent to be able to pick up women with the way they are in this video. Seriously, I don't know why you are saying I hate them when they are one of my favorite bands of all time. And no, I listen to Zepelin, KISS, Queens, Bon Jovi, etc.
